The Scored Call™
A scored call is a hunting decision that gets graded.
You already make the call every morning. Go or stay. Which stand. Whether tonight is worth burning a spot you have been saving. RackIQ™ reads your ground and makes that call with you, then goes back afterward and checks it against what actually walked past the camera.
That second half is the whole idea. The score is not a confidence number we made up. It is a call that has to answer for itself.
How it works
It reads your ground
Not the county. Your property. The terrain it sits on, where the deer have actually been on your cameras, which way your scent goes when the evening thermal sinks, and what the weather is about to do.
It makes the call
Hunt it or sit it out, and if you hunt it, where. Sitting one out is a real answer here. A stand you did not burn on a bad wind is worth more than a sit that taught the deer where you are.
It grades the call
You log what happened. The call gets reconciled against it, and the read on your ground moves. A call that graded out well counts. One that did not counts more.
Why it is scored, and not just forecast
Most hunting software hands you a rating for the day and never looks back. Nobody writes down what it said, so nobody can tell you whether it was right. Over a season that is a number you cannot argue with and cannot learn from.
A scored call is written down before the hunt and checked after it. That makes it accountable, and it makes it improvable, because a prediction nobody reconciles is a prediction nobody can calibrate. It is also the harder thing to build, which is the point.
Same idea a good hunter already runs in his own head. He remembers the sit that went wrong on an east wind and he does not sit it again. We just wrote it down.
What it is not
Not a guarantee. A good call on a good day still ends with nothing walking by. Deer are not weather.
Not a deer finder. It will not tell you a buck is standing at the field edge right now. It reads conditions and ground, not live animals.
Not proven yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. RackIQ is pre-launch. We are not publishing an accuracy figure until there is a season of graded calls behind it. When there is, the scorecard is public, including the misses.
