RackIQ: The Scored Call™
← Back to the Founding50

The long version

Everything we took off the main page so it would stay short. Nothing here is new, it is just the detail behind the promises.

Your spot stays your spot

We publish the results of this season. We never publish your ground.

Where your coordinates do go

Your coordinates are used to return weather, county-area context, terrain, environmental context, maps, and imagery for the ground read. Address and place search may use Google Geocoding or OpenStreetMap Nominatim. They are never shown to another hunter, placed in anything we publish, or sold as a list.

The learning shared across the app is coarsened to a broad grid with the who and where stripped out. Your pin is never in it, and you can switch that contribution off in Account center under Data and privacy.

Delete a photo, a property, or the whole account whenever you want. The full policy is at rackiq.ai/privacy.

How every call gets graded

Hunting is messier than a scorecard. You kill at a different stand. A camera six hundred yards off photographs the buck you sat all evening waiting on. You bump one walking in and the sit is over before it started.

So we set the rules down before the season, while we still do not know the answer. The one that governs all the others: a call is never scored differently because you followed it or ignored it.

What happenedHow it counts
Called good, you sat the called stand in the called window, saw movementhit
Called good, you sat it, nothing movedmiss
Called poor, you sat anyway, nothing movedhit, a correct no is still correct
Called poor, you sat anyway, saw movementmiss
You did not huntuntested, and untested never counts as a miss
You hunted a different standuntested for the stand call, still graded for the timing call
You killed at a different standuntested for the stand call. A kill is not evidence about a stand nobody sat
Sit cut short, you bumped one walking inungradable. A lost sit is not a failed call
A camera caught the deer elsewhere on the propertycounted separately, on the camera side. It speaks to whether deer moved, not to whether the stand was right
You sat, saw nothing, and no camera was runningungradable for movement. No chance to observe is not the same as nothing happening

Anything genuinely arguable goes to ungradable rather than to a hit, and we publish the ungradable count right alongside everything else. A high one would be a finding about our own method, and hiding it would be the easiest way to flatter the number.

If a situation comes up that this table does not cover, the new rule and the date we added it appear in Field Evidence before that kind of result is scored, never after.

The consent you will be asked to sign

It shows up in the app, once, and it is the only paperwork in this. Here it is in advance, word for word.

Before you join: what happens to what you log

You are joining a test whose aggregate results we are going to publish. So you should know exactly what that means.

What we use. Your camera photos and when they were taken. Which cameras were running and when. The hunts you log, and what you saw or did not see. Basic facts about your ground like acreage and cover.

What we publish. What we learned at the cohort level, in totals and averages. Whether RackIQ's calls were right or wrong across the group, and by how much.

What we never publish. Your property location or boundaries. Your pins, stands, cameras, access routes, photos, individual sit logs, or named bucks. Your identity stays private unless you separately choose public acknowledgment.

We publish either way. If the results make us look good, we publish them. If they make us look bad, we publish those too. That is the entire point of this.

You still own all of it. Every photo, every log. Yours.

You can quit anytime. Tell us and we remove your data from any analysis that has not been completed. Once cohort-level totals have been published, an individual contribution cannot be separated from the already-published aggregate.

What the season looks like

The Twelve

Later in the season, twelve of the fifty meet monthly with the product team on what gets built next. Those seats rotate, so it never turns into a clubhouse.
